  ALASKA CAST AND BLAST

season: sept 1-late september

Our duck hunts operate on Alaska's Aleutian Peninsula and coincide with the silver salmon run.  This gives you the best of both worlds being able to hunt ducks in the mornings, and catch some salmon in the afternoons.  The hunts are all over spreads of decoys, and being early in the migration the birds are not at all decoy shy.  We have a variety of temporary blinds, and layout blinds to maintain mobility and hunt unpressured birds daily. We regularly see mallards, pintail, widgeon, gadwall, green wing teal, and shovelers, along with the smallest subspecies of canada goose...the minima Cacklers.  Back at the lodge, the chef can prepare fresh duck appetizers or entrees during your stay.
